Joseph P. Fusco

Joe has represented a litany of clients, including insurance companies, general contractors, construction companies, municipalities, businesses, and private individuals throughout his legal career, which has included countless transactional and litigation matters.

As an Honors Associate with the New York City Housing Authority, Joe worked primarily with the Appeals, Commercial Litigation, Contracts, and Real Estate divisions. He frequently argued before administrative bodies and courts of appellate jurisdiction in New York State, securing numerous victories, which included an unblemished appellate record. Joe also helped negotiate and draft various contracts and lease agreements for the Housing Authority.

While in private practice, Joe has focused on litigating insurance defense matters involving a broad range of tort liability claims, including construction defect, personal injury, property damage, New York State Labor Law, and products liability. He has also litigated coverage disputes involving general liability, construction, and environmental claims and prepared hundreds of coverage opinions. He has successfully represented insurance carriers and businesses in complex insurance matters in state and federal courts throughout New York. Joe also has substantial experience handling labor and employment cases, defending employers in claims based upon unfair labor practices, racial discrimination, age discrimination, and wrongful termination.

Joe graduated from Cornell University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science and earned his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law in 2007. While attending St. John’s University School of Law, Joe received several awards for academics and service.
